1. THE PROMISE OF GOD [1 kings 18: 1]
The first thing is to search out the written word or seek out the spoken word and hold on to God's promise.
2. DECISION [1 kings 18: 21]
A decision to be tired of the usual. A decision to go deeper. A decision for more of God and less of self. A decision to study and pray more. It's not something the Spirit forces on you but you allign with God's Spirit in you.
.
3. FELLOWSHIP [1 kings 18: 30]
Christ was slain before the foundation of the world to make as many that accept him the fellow sheep that will fellowship with the father and with Him as our brother. We fellowship as family [Heb 10: 24, 25]. A sharp iron that remains alone soon wears out without another's help to sharpen it. That fellowship is the unity of saints on point. Don't "form" a one man army; you're actually one part in Christ's body. We're all meant for each other.
.
4. OBEDIENCE [1 kings 18: 36]
Obedience in walking in the Spirit; remember, being led by the Spirit is a sign that you're a son of God [Rom 8: 13- 14]. So anyone walking contrary to the Spirit is either insensitive to the Spirit's leading or willfully working in disobedience.
.
5. WORSHIP [1 kings 18: 39]
Worship is showing great respect and adoration to God and the best way to do that is obeying his word; recognizing his Lordship over us and following him as he (the Spirit) leads.
.
6. DESTRUCTION OF EVIL AND SATANIC WORSHIP [1 kings 18: 40]
The prophets of Baal were carriers of evil spirit and a representation of the devil. Elijah got rid of evil in the land. Don't tell me you're a God fearing yahoo boy and remain thus [Math 6: 24]. Don't claim to be a minister of God and still depend on the devil to perform "miracles". You can't remain a cultist after accepting Christ as Lord and saviour.
.
7. PRAYER [1 king 18: 41- 43]
He knew the blessing will come but he still prayed
.
8. FAITH [1 king 18: 44]
Although he didn't see the actual rain; he saw just the cloud and a little one for that matter, but he believed that was the blessing.
.
9. GREAT BLESSING [1 kings 18: 45]
.
10. THE EXTRA WE DIDN'T ASK FOR [1 kings 18: 46]
